Resize images
Change the dimensions of one or many images at once, in pixels or as a percentage. The aspect ratio is kept so nothing gets distorted.
100% private: processed on your device, nothing is uploaded.
Images that are already smaller are not enlarged.
How it works
- Enter the new width and/or height, or a percentage.
- Choose or drag your images into the box above.
- Download the resized images.
Which size should I choose?
For websites, 1200–2000 pixels wide is usually plenty. Social media posts are often 1080 pixels wide. For email, 800–1200 pixels keeps attachments small.
When you only enter a width, the height is calculated automatically (and the other way around). If you enter both with “keep aspect ratio” on, the image fits within that box.
Frequently asked questions
Will my image get distorted?
No, not with “keep aspect ratio” enabled. Turn it off only if you deliberately want an exact width and height.
Can I make an image larger?
When you enter pixel dimensions with the aspect ratio kept, smaller images are not enlarged, since that would make them blurry. Use a percentage above 100% if you do want to enlarge.
Does resizing reduce the file size?
Yes. Fewer pixels means a smaller file. Halving the width and height reduces the number of pixels by 75%.
